Stroke volume = LVOT area * LVOT VTI = Pi (LVOT diameter/2)∧2 * LVOT VTI
想要非侵入性的測量心輸出量，
測量LVOT (Left ventricular outflow tract)的大小是不可或缺的。
首先要取得漂亮的PSLA view，探頭擺位大致如下。
LVOT diameter is crucial for cardiac output measurement.
First, you should get a typical parasternal long axis view.
在這個介面，
我們應該可以看到由上到下的解剖構造有
右心室、心室中隔、主動脈、主動脈瓣、
左心室、二尖瓣、左心房、心包膜和降主動脈。
In this view & from top to bottom,
we should see RV, IVS, aortic root, AV, LV, MV, LA,
pericardium and descending aorta.
接著利用機器上的局部放大功能，將LVOT重點放大。
Use zoom in function & focus on LVOT
LVOT的測量就在主動脈開口連線處近左心室處約0.5-1公分處，
在收縮期的中段來測量，量內徑，如下圖所示。
In mid-systolic phase,
measure the inner edge within 0.5-1.0 cm of aortic valve orifice.
