Indication: Acute urine retention
Findings: Distended bladder (not shown)
Also hyperehoic lesion with acoustic shadow within middle part of urethra
Note proximal urethral dilation and filled with urine due to ureteral stone obstruction
We inserted the Foley catheter to relieve patient’s urine retention.
We also intended to push the stone into bladder for subsequent surgical management.
But the Foley catheter was bypassing the urethral stone.
